How We Travel

Everything we carry has to earn its place in our backpacks. That’s why we carefully chose this gear — from chargers and adapters that keep our devices powered, to cameras, mics, and tripods that help us record YouTube episodes and podcasts on the road. These tools let us travel light without giving up quality, so we can share our journey while living it.

We travel with this compact power strip — 4 outlets + 3 USB. Paired with our Anker charger, it powers up to 9 devices at once, including iPhones, Androids, tablets, and more. Lightweight and perfect for hotels or Airbnbs. Also it is cruise-approved.

Anker 737 GaNPrime, 120W USB C Charger

We use this charger to power everything on the road — iPhones, Androids, tablets, and watches. With 3 ports (2 USB-C + 1 USB-A), it’s lightweight, compact, and can fast charge multiple devices at once — saving us time while traveling.

Power Bank

We carry a 25,000mAh power bank to keep devices running on the go. With 100W USB-C output, it charges laptops, tablets, phones, and watches fast. Airline-safe under 100Wh, compact, and perfect when outlets aren’t around.

Toshiba Canvio 4TB

The Toshiba Canvio Advance 4TB is the only hard drive we travel with. Compact and reliable, it stores our photos, videos, and files while we also back everything up to the cloud for extra peace of mind.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4k

We travel with the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K for streaming on the go. It plugs into any TV with HDMI, supports Wi-Fi 6E, and even lets us install a VPN - so we can watch Netflix, YouTube, and live TV anywhere without cable.

HDMI Extension Cable

We carry a this HDMI extension cable because some TVs in hotels or Airbnbs have hard-to-reach HDMI ports. This small extender makes it easy to plug in our Firestick without hassle, keeping setup quick and simple.

USBC to HDMI Cable

his 10ft USB-C to HDMI cable lets us cast shows and movies from laptop or phone straight to a TV. With the HDMI extender, it plugs in easily even when ports are hard to reach in hotels or Airbnbs.

USBC to USBC Cables

We carry Anker USB-C to USB-C cables in different lengths. They keep our electronics connected and charged — from phones and earbuds to cameras, hard drives, and more — reliable and pack-friendly for travel.

Car Charger

We use an Anker car charger to keep devices powered on the road. Ours is the older USB-A model, but since most of our electronics are now USB-C, we’ll be upgrading to the newer version for faster and easier charging.

Airplane Bluetooth Transmitter

We travel with an airplane Bluetooth adapter so we can use our own headphones (also works with AirPods) with in-flight entertainment. It supports 2 devices at once, is compact, and makes long flights more comfortable without wired headsets.

JBL Tune Flex Earbuds

Kristine uses the JBL Tune Flex earbuds when she goes for a walk or run, and even on airplanes to block out noise. Small, wireless, and noise-cancelling, they’re perfect for music or podcasts anywhere.

YouTube Kit

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Gean uses the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to record our YouTube episodes in 4K and take high-resolution photos. Since it’s no longer available, he’ll upgrade to the Galaxy S25 Ultra - powerful for video, photos, and travel.

ULANZI Extendable Phone Tripod

We use the ULANZI MT-44 tripod for filming with our phones. It’s extendable so we can stand it up, adjust for great shooting angles, and capture YouTube episodes, selfies, or group shots while traveling.

RØDE Wireless GO II

Our dual wireless mic system that connects to Gean’s phone on the tripod. It gives us reliable, high-quality audio for YouTube episodes and podcast recordings.

RØDE Lavalier II

We plug this lapel mic into the Wireless GO II for broadcast-level sound. Compact and discreet, it makes our voice clearer and more professional on camera and in podcasts.

GoPro HERO 12

We use the GoPro HERO11 to capture action and travel shots, but since it’s no longer available, we’d go with the GoPro HERO12 Black. Waterproof and durable, it records in stunning 5.3K60 Ultra HD for immersive videos anywhere.

Ray-Ban Wayfarer Meta Glasses

Gean uses the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer — they replace both his sunglasses and prescription glasses, while also letting us record videos hands-free from our point of view. Stylish, practical, and perfect for travel memories.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8

Gean uses the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 to track health, fitness, and travel days. Stylish and smart, it keeps him connected on the go with notifications, maps, and more right on his wrist.

Fitbit Versa 3 Health & Fitness Smartwatch

Kristine uses the Fitbit Versa 3 to track her health and fitness. Lightweight and reliable, it helps monitor steps, workouts, and heart rate — keeping her active and connected while traveling.

Google Pixel 9

Kristine uses the Google Pixel 9 as her main phone. With eSIM support, it’s perfect for travel, keeping her connected abroad. It takes sharp photos, records in 4K, and captures our adventures with ease.
